The Goddard School of West Chester (Village of Marshallton)

We love our family at the Goddard School - the owner, directors and teachers really care about the children. The location is great for us, but we love that this location is a little outside town and closer to our house, but tucked into a quaint little village. The new Owner Collin is focused on improvements and it really shows since he's taken over.

I am so thankful that we found The Goddard School! Before The Goddard my little guy was in an in home daycare. After a few shorts months we knew the fit just wasn’t right for him, but I was hesitant to put him in a ‘corporate daycare’. After my very first visit to The Goddard I was feeling amazingly at ease and rather excited to make the switch! My son started in the infant room at 7 months old, and we have been there for 2 months. I cannot say enough good things about the school or curriculum. My little guy is just as happy at school as he is at home… and we couldn’t say that before! I know that he is being well cared for by everyone that spends time with him, and he is experiencing more than thought possible at that age… sign language, yoga, arts and crafts, activities that build fine motor skills and large motor skills, socialization, etc. A big thank you to all the teachers who engage with the infants…. I never thought I would feel so at ease sending my baby to school to be cared for by someone else (yes, I am THAT mom) But, I do. The teachers genuinely care for their students, and I feel as if we are a team. I look forward to seeing the wonderful things that my son will learn and do in the years to come at The Goddard School.

We LOVE this school! As working parents, we already had guilt about leaving our kids in child care. We feel so blessed that we found Goddard! The teachers genuinely love our children and want the best for them. The communication is outstanding and the activities are fun and educational. Both my children love school. As my older child transitioned to kindergarten, it was seamless. He was extremely well prepared. For the investment you make in Goddard, your return is priceless.

Our daughter began at Goddard Marshallton when she was 6.5 months old, when my maternity leave ended. As a first time mom I was nervous about her being anywhere but with me, but my worries were quickly put at ease. From day one my daughter and family were warmly welcomed to the Goddard family, and we were thrilled to see what a warm and loving school environment she was part of. Receiving timely updates on her daily activities and photos of her learning and having fun were the highlight of my day! We only left the school because we moved, but had an awesome experience and are quick to recommend Goddard Marshallton to friends and family.

Our daughter has been at this Goddard School for 2 years. The teachers and management have gone above and beyond since day one to provide our daughter with the best care and education possible. She has loved every single one of her teachers and is thriving. Due to Covid, we kept her home for a few months and were hesitant to send her back. However, they have taken all precautions seriously. They have been transparent and immediately notify families anytime they know of an exposure. I will be so incredibly sad when our daughter goes to kindergarten next year. We will miss this school SO much!
