The International School of Charlottesville

This is our first year at ISC after going to a more “traditional” daycare. What a difference, I cannot be more impressed with the school! The teachers are warm and loving, but also very strong. I love that our 3yo son is not only learning preschool academic skills, but those lessons are carried over into yoga, creative manipulatives and art projects. Our little guy definitely knows some new Spanish words, which we noticed after just a month, but also his English and overall communication has improved! What makes this school stand out even more is the sense of community among the teachers and families. Everyone is very supportive. We go on hikes, visit vineyards, and work together in the garden. I love the connections we have made with other families in Charlottesville.

Great school, community and teachers. Our son has thrived at ISC and we look forward to our next son starting there in the Fall. ISC is, first, a great school. Second, a great value. Third, the language skills taught to young learners in addition to education provides them a lifetime of opening doors and breaking down barriers of communication and understanding.
