The Joyful Child

You can call us helicopter parents but Mrs. Leesa and her staff made us feel so comfortable and secure with both of our children. My husband and I stressed over finding a daycare but now we look forward to dropping off our kiddos because they love this place so much! Mrs. Leesa is so sweet and friendly, she made sure all of our concerns were addressed in a timely manner. Before, our 2 year old would not go to sleep without her bottle and we would always have a hard time putting her down for a nap. Because of The Joyful Child, she doesn’t need a bottle anymore to go to sleep! I’m not sure how they do it but we’re so thankful for Mrs. Leesa and her amazing staff that takes such good care of our babies. They would not want to leave come pickup time which assured us they were in good hands. We loved the daily pictures and videos of the kiddos doing activities. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent who’s looking for their kid to have fun with other little friends, learn plenty of songs and skills and kids who love exploring indoor and outdoors activities!

The Joyful Child is as my kids say, the best school in the world. It has been their happy place for the past few years and we are so lucky to have been a part of the community that Leesa has built. In addition to Leesa, everyone else there is absolutely incredible too. Ms. K and Ms. Lesly are so kind and you can tell that they genuinely love the kids. The philosophy there is so perfect for development as well. The kids are outside and exploring and playing most of the day. When my oldest son was at a well known childcare center before Joyful Child he was biting about 3 times a week, but as soon as we switched to Joyful Child he immediately stopped. Leesa had a hard believing he ever was a biter. As is obvious from this ramble, I can’t say enough good things about this school, it has been one of the best decisions of our life.

One of the greatest gifts I ever gave to myself and to my son was enrollment in The Joyful Child’s daycare program. My friend Kelly recommended Ms. Leesa and her crew when I was newly pregnant. I could not have asked for a better support system after giving birth to a pandemic baby! Great with challenging behavior… they are creative, intuitive, and knowledgeable. Thank you Leesa, Kelcey, and Lesley for everything!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Joyful Child daycare! It truly deserves 5 stars and more! Both of my sons have had the privilege of attending, and it has been a true blessing for our family. We love the commitment to outdoor play, creative fun, and new experiences (OMG gymnastics?!) that allow kids to run, ride bikes/scooters/cars, splash, and move their bodies around while learning, growing, and getting a little messy! The exceptional staff, led by the PHENOMENAL Ms. Leesa, are dedicated to staying up to date on research-based best practices, ensuring the best of care for your kiddos. Ms. K, Ms. Lesly, and Ms. Veronica are incredibly caring and patient and create an environment where kids feel loved and safe. They teach the kids to be kind, be safe, and to do their best, and when a kiddo has a rough moment, they are right there to help bring them back to this commitment! We love the Joyful Child, and we know you will too!

Mrs. Leesa and team at The Joyful Child are absolutely wonderful! Our 3 year old son has been going here since 2020 and we recently enrolled our 4 month old. We love the focus on playtime and time outdoors. They really care for each individual child and have built a strong sense of community within the school — we call her Nana just like an extra grandma!
