I don’t often leave reviews but as a first time mom who had to trust their child with strangers, I felt compelled to let others in my position know that TLC is an amazing daycare. We’ve been at TLC a little over a month now and are extremely happy with our experience. We primarily interact with Ms Jo and Ms Emily (as they are our daughter’s main teachers) and I could not ask for better people to watch our daughter. They treat my daughter like their own and I can see how much my daughter trusts them. Any time we ask for anything, TLC is quick to do it or make the change. Our daughter is not yet eating but I love that TLC makes all their meals in-house and does not give the kids processed food. I like how communicative staff is and that Ms Lynn is no-nonsense about keeping the kids safe and healthy. I am excited for my daughter to get older so she can participate in all the activities and learning sessions that go on each week. Overall, I am grateful for this daycare and the staff. They made this first time mama happy to drop her kid off at daycare!

The Learning Center has been an incredible blessing for my daughter, Ainsli, who has attended since she was two years old. She will be turning five in June 2025, and I can truly say that this center has played a huge role in her growth and development. Mr. Marcus and Mrs. Lynn Carmouche have created a nurturing and enriching environment where children are loved, supported, and given an excellent foundation for learning. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, and the staff and teachers go above and beyond to ensure the well-being and success of every child. They are kind, accommodating, and truly dedicated to the students. My daughter has adored every teacher she has had, and the education she has received here is remarkable. The Learning Center provides more than just childcare—it fosters a love for learning and a strong educational foundation. I highly recommend The Learning Center to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and high-quality learning environment for their child!

I want to share my experience and warn other parents about the owner, Lynn, at The Learning Center. I had serious concerns about the overstimulating environment and lack of structure in the curriculum, which made me uneasy about leaving my child there. My mother even stated several times how my child was completely overwhelmed by the end of the day and difficult to console. One day, I was contacted about a scratch my daughter got on her face from falling down our porch stairs during the snow day. When I questioned why I was being contacted about it, Lynn accused me of having an attitude and stated every accident that happens outside their facility must be documented by law. Later that same afternoon, she messaged my mother (my child’s grandmother), asking her to call her. When I called Lynn, she told me my daughter had "smeared poo all over her classmates, herself, and the walls." This was completely false—my daughter had never done such a thing, and there was no sign of it on the clothes they sent home. Also, if my child was able to do that was she unattended? At the end of the conversation I respectfully asked that, moving forward, she contact me directly for any concerns regarding my child, not her grandmother. Lynn immediately lost her temper, claiming I had an attitude all day and that her asking about the scratch earlier in the day was her center "law". Since our conversation was not progressing I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to, as I had seen a man at the center before, and Lynn responded, "I’m the owner, the only person above me is God. The man is my husband, the co-owner, and you can talk to me, not him." She ended the conversation by stating "I'm hanging up, we can talk when you get here" and then hanging up on me. When I arrived to pick up my daughter maybe 20 minutes later, one of the employees told me that it was my child’s last day. I was confused because I had been told by Lynn that we would speak in person. The employee was clearly put in a terrible position, and it was evident that Lynn had hidden. The employee got Mr. Marcus (the co-owner) on the phone for me and he began lying about the situation, claiming I had disrespected his wife and had an attitude with her arguing with her saying she was not the owner (which never happened). He said that "I always have an attitude when his employees ask me to bring changes of clothes and this was the final straw." This all happened at 5:00 pm on a Monday afternoon, and as a full-time working single mother, I was left in an horrible situation for no reason at all. Three weeks later, Lynn's lack of professionalism and poor leadership have been widely shared on Facebook. Physical altercations with her employees, pinching of students, attitudes with countless parents, and more. My daughter is now thriving at a new center, and I never realized just how much The Learning Center lacked in professionalism, cleanliness, curriculum, and overall structure until we made the switch. Karma is real, and I hope other parents take note.
