The Learning Experience - Trumbull

I can't recommend The Learning Experience enough! From the moment I enrolled my children, I knew I had made the right choice. The staff is incredibly attentive, ensuring that my kids feel safe, nurtured, and engaged every day. My children have never had a single complaint—except when it's time to leave! They love their time here so much that they always ask to stay longer. The curriculum is fantastic, preparing young minds for kindergarten in the most interactive and enjoyable ways. My kids absolutely love the Leap interactive board, and I find so much joy in seeing their progress through the workbook activities. It's clear that learning here is both structured and fun, striking the perfect balance. And let's talk about the food—my kids rave about the meals so much that I've tried replicating them at home, but somehow, it never tastes quite the same! One of my favorite aspects is that The Learning Experience works with Care for Kids, making quality childcare accessible for families who need assistance. If you're looking for a daycare that combines education, care, and a warm, welcoming environment, this is the place to be!

The Learning Experience in Trumbull has been amazing for our family. My kids absolutely love going there—they're excited every morning, which says a lot! The teachers are all so kind, patient, and really seem to care about each child. It’s not just daycare—it’s a place where they’re learning, growing, and having fun at the same time. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the whole place is super clean and well-organized. You can tell they take pride in what they do. The communication is great, too—I always know what’s going on and how my kids are doing. We’re really happy to have found a place like this. It gives us peace of mind knowing our kids are in such good hands. Can’t recommend it enough!

I love this place, my son (2years old) has learned so much from being around the other kids and the activities done at the center. I love being able to see pictures of my son throughout his time away from me. The teachers are all great. I love the way the teachers like lashay, Jayla, Kyle, Trish, Kaitlyn, Fran, and Evelyn along with others have been treating both me and my son very well. This place works extremely well with my work schedule as well. Definitely recommend to anyone thinking about it!

Before enrolling your kids in this place please make sure you check the reviews. My child was enrolled in this daycare and everything was fine until last week. I noticed that the teachers weren’t giving him the food I would send him with and his clothes were zipped onto his skin. The program is very unstable, my child would never had a set teacher or teachers. He came home with a busted lip and the daycare didn’t even notify me or tell me what had caused the injury. Please do not enroll your kids here. These people lack responsibility and basic empathy towards the children you entrust them with.

As a parent of a child with special needs, I understand that my son can be energetic and present certain challenges. However, I would not recommend The Learning Experience in Trumbull, CT to families of children with special needs. Unfortunately, they are not equipped, trained, or certified to support neurodiverse/ADHD children, and the lack of professionalism across the board is deeply concerning. This was admitted to me by the director and staff. Initially, I was hopeful. The layout of the center appeared secure and thoughtfully designed, which gave me a sense of comfort. However, that quickly changed. The center has ongoing issues with high staff turnover and an unstable leadership structure—there hasn't been a consistent director since we started. Staff members often gossip loudly at the front desk or are on their phones, and the building frequently smells of weed, which is completely unacceptable for a childcare facility. Most troubling, however, was how my son's needs were handled. I met one-on-one with the director to create a support plan tailored to him to help him and also help make their lives easier with him, and I was excited about that collaboration. Shockingly, just a few days later, I was told that they could not manage his behavior. I was even informed that an employee needed to take a mental health time off because of my 4-year-old. This level of response shows a complete lack of preparedness and compassion. It also seems childish. For a center that is priced at a premium, I expected experienced, qualified, and caring staff who could create a safe, supportive environment for all children. Sadly, that was not our experience. The class sizes are too big and not enough staff to go around. If your child requires any additional support or structure, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. This is not a place for children who fall even slightly outside the "norm".
