The Learning Nook Childcare

We love The Learning Nook! The director, Ms. Krista, is an absolute gem - so nurturing, thoughtful, and intentional about the children’s learning and development. Our two-year-old son has been going there for over a year now, and we love how much dedication and care is put into the daily lesson plans and creative activities. Every child is treated with utmost care and attention, like they're part of a loving extended family. We highly recommend TLN for parents looking for a personal childcare service for their children.

Our children absolutely adored their time at The Learning Nook. Krista is so caring and so amazing with the children. We always felt secure in knowing our kids were in her care. I really don't think you can beat the education and hands on learning experiences (our son still gets out and plays with his solar system and butterfly diaramas a year and half later!) Our son was there from 2.5 years to 4 years and our daughter from 3 months to 1 year old when we moved away. Having to make the decision to take the kids out of The Learning Nook was definitely the hardest part of the decision to move away from Decatur. A year and a half later our son still talks about his old school, Krista and so many of the things he learned and activities they did! Krista definitely made an huge impact on our kids. You definitely won't regret sending your kids to The Learning Nook.

Krista and the staff are nurturing, attentive, and well-trained, creating a warm and safe environment for the little ones. Leaving your little one in the hands of someone else can be hard. Ms. Krista and her team at the Learning Nook made us comfortable and confident that our son would not only be cared for but also loved and enriched everyday that he spent there. We were at TLN for 2 years and saw amazing growth in our son and all of his friends. The best part is that it is small enough to give a family feel and intimate attention but also give your child the social and emotional skills they need. We will miss TLN as we move on to Kindergarten and are forever grateful for the time our family has had here and couldn’t be happier with the impact it will forever have on our son’s life!

TLN is the best childcare center our family has had the pleasure of being part of. Ms. Krista and all the teachers are attentive, loving and truly support the children. Our daughter has a history of severe asthma and it was important to us that we find a childcare center that would be responsive to both her social cognitive development and her health. TLN not only prioritizes health and safety of the children and staff, they were instrumental in helping our daughter begin to learn how to read and understand addition problems. We’ve been part of the TLN family for a little over 2 years and it has been nothing short of amazing. Transition to kindergarten this fall will be bittersweet!
