Tierra Encantada - Yankee Doodle

We absolutely love Tierra! We were recommended this particular location by friends and we could not be any happier with the care our almost one year old is receiving. From day one we could tell how loved, cared for, and happy she was while in her teachers care. It is clear all the staff care about every child who attends. Staff have been very prompt to respond to any question we have and we especially love the healthy meal options they provide.

Tierra Encantada has been amazing with my kiddo. My daughter has been with them since she was 5 months, now a year and a half. She has a pallet to try new foods, and actually likes veggies! They are very responsible with handling her, and are responsive to let us know when she is teething and more. I have been very impressed with them.

Don’t waste your time, they are a babysitting daycare with Spanish speaking people. They don’t teach your kids Spanish, my bright had her daughter come here for 4 years and when the parents ask why her daughter didn’t speak Spanish or pick it up. The staff blame the parents because “they don’t speak Spanish at home”. That is not true, that is not how that works. Every research shows that you have to teach them not just babysit them.

We love Tierra Encantada and so do our kids! The teachers are warm and loving. My older son started a year ago at 3 and although the first month was difficult with the language difference he adjusted well and was coming home singing songs in Spanish shortly after. Even though my husband and I don’t speak Spanish his language has exploded in the last few months. All the activities, and super healthy food are important to us too. Our baby has loved it as well, and can’t wait to go play with his friends- we are so happy they use cloth and support our environmental efforts!

Our 4 year old and 16 month old have been going to Tierra Encantada Eagan since April 2017. Transitioning from family watching our kids to a daycare center was difficult but TE staff made the transition smooth. They have always been very welcoming and treat our kids like family. Our kids love it and both have been learning so much, not only Spanish but about other countries and cultures as well. We feel our son will be more than ready to start kindergarten next fall and our daughter a few years after that. We also love that our kids are getting healthy meals that are prepared on site. We couldn’t be happier with TE and the loving, friendly staff who feel like family now!
