Touchstone School

Our elder son attended Touchstone for both preschool and elementary school level summer camps, so we decided to enroll our younger child here as well. We paid the registration fee and were informed that we were at the top of the waiting list. We remained at the top of that waitlist for several months, during which we continuously called and followed up. It has now been two years, and the school has never contacted us to confirm availability or provide any updates. Our calls go to voicemail, and we have not received any responses to our messages. Not the touchstone we knew of.

Touchstone Preschool is staffed with incredible teachers who are dedicated, resourceful, and above all, kind. Our children are learning to love learning, and they are taking pride in their new academic skills. It's the best feeling ever as a parent to see your little ones enjoying venturing forth in the world and discovering their own path. The principal, Courtney, has gone above and beyond from the very beginning to help our children successfully transition from being exclusively with family at home to being little adventurers in their classroom with their peers. A special shout out to Aden, Allyn, Cassidy, Nick, Jazmin, Josie, Amy, and Stephanie for being real-life superheroes for our family. Thank you for all that you do!

Our family has been incredibly delighted to be partnering with the Touchstone staff for the care of our 14 month old. We transitioned to the school after some extensive interviewing and tours several months ago. Our son was not thriving at our previous Montessori style school. Principal Courtney elevated our hopes and provided excellent information on our tour and continued to be available for many followups prior to us starting. After meeting staff and enrolling we have only seen positive shifts in our kiddo. He has been able to blossom more. Staff I engage with are warm, inviting, knowledgeable and responsive. Respectful to parents AND their clients - our kiddos♥️. So much love for Mrs. Elizabeth, Victoria, Andrea and the others who are involved with our sons care, growth and safety.

Love, love, love! Touchstone does such an amazing job recruiting teachers who are amazing! They really care about the kids and do a phenomenal job teaching. I’m so impressed by the facility and its cleanliness. They send adorable pictures and detailed daily reports. Our kids bring home the cutest stories and crafts. Courtney the director is incredible! I’m really grateful for her and the staff and all they have done for our family!

We have been very happy with our experience at Touchstone Preschool in Hillsboro. We started our two sons here in September 2023, and they've had a great year. Their teachers have been wonderful, classroom activities are fun and engaging, communication from the school is consistent and clear, including daily reports and photos in the app, conferences, and other regular email updates. Our kids are excited and happy to go to school each day, and they love their teachers!
