Truly a great childcare option for Ventura/Oxnard! While none of the daycare options in the area stood above the rest in terms of online reviews, Tutor Time had availability when we needed it for my one year old. This was our first time using day care and being separated for a day was a leap for us. Tutor Time has been amazing! Their SproutAbout app made the experience so easy. They have live cameras so you can peek in on your kid whenever you feel like it (so comforting for the first few weeks of being away from your kid). The instructors (who are awesome) regularly upload photos of your kid playing. They also do art projects for you to take home, offer evening child care once a month so parents can have a date night, and provide all diapers, wipes, and food. This is a top notch day care and they are priced according. We only stayed two months as a spot opened up for navy base childcare, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back here again.

My 3 year old daughter has been babysat by a family member since birth. I received news she would not be able to watch her anymore. I went into panic mode and called several daycares in the area. Tutor time was able to get my daughter in within 1 week. She struggled at first because she had never been away from family before but she is thriving now. She was a bit speech delayed, however in the month she’s been here her speech has really taken off. She loves her teachers Miss Layloni and Miss Armie and is constantly saying at home “I miss my teachers” as a parent this is truly comforting. They have cameras through out the facility and you’re able to log in and see your child at any time. Also a huge plus for us! Overall, we love it here

My daughter has been going here for going on two years. At first it was really hard for me because she was 1.5 years old and I had never let her out of my sight. She loves it there. When she first started going she was a little speech delayed but now she is 3 years old and a really good talker. They have also been helping to work on potty training her which I appreciate, until the child is fully potty trained they can’t go onto the 3+ classroom(s). I saw a review where someone was complaining about the tours but I appreciate how seriously they have been taking the Covid precautions, it has made me feel even better about sending my child and I completely understand that persons frustrations but the inside is really nice (we have been going since before Covid and we used to be able to walk in and grab our kids from their classroom). It would be cool if they could have provided that parent a virtual tour to avoid this issue. The staff is in general very friendly so I am not sure what happened with that phone call. In my experience they have always been pretty good about responding and they are also very understanding when circumstances quickly change and your child needs to be enrolled more or less days of the week. I love that my child is socializing with other kids, I love that they provide food for them, and I love that they are being taught things. I don’t worry that my child is being neglected or abused in any way. They are really good at keeping up with incident reports and they call you when your child needs to be picked up. On a few occasions we have had to get a doctors note to come back and although that might seem annoying to some I appreciate how much they care about the health of the kids that go there. I love that they have an app so you can message back and forth without having to make a phone call and also so that you can keep up with what your child is doing throughout the day. The app gave me peace of mind when my child first started attending. I love this place and I am grateful for them and for the people who run the classrooms. All the positive things they do heavily outweigh and negative encounters I may have personally had.

I called for information to see if my children would be good candidates since one of them struggles with his school work since Covid 19 and the other one started Kinder on an I pad this year which is heartbreaking. When i called the first time excited and willing to sell my soul to the Devil to get my kids in there I ended up speaking with a lady who was rude and only gave me minimal information. She did not talk to me about pricing not even an idea she said I would have to go in for a " tour". I agreed to do that because again ANYTHING TO GET MY KIDS WHAT THEY NEED! A couple days later I drive 45 minutes to Tutor Time in Ventura to learn that 1. I was not allowed to go past the front desk. They don't give tours the lady there said. 2.THEY DON'T TUTOR!! She handed me a piece of paper with pricing and sent me on my way. That was my experience at Tutor Time. These people were so UN-interested in me or my kids i would not ever take my kids there.

Staff lied and provided a note used in a court case for child custody. They said my daughter had no rash on her at daycare and she was changed before pickup. Luckily she was taken to urgent care and it was documented and she was prescribed a steroid cream to help it heal up. Please stay away from this dishonest care center.
