Union Hill Day School

Our kiddo has been at Union Hill for 3 years now. We've had many amazing teachers, who we even use as kiddo sitters (I wouldn't dare say babysit in front of my 4 yo) when we have a night out. We've made so many wonderful, hopefully lifelong, friends through our kiddo's classes and it's been such a joy to watch them incorporate what they learn in to their lives. Additionally, as two professional full-time parents, the school is very friendly to working schedules and we're happy knowing she's safe and thriving in an environment where she can grow with her peers.

My son was 3 when he attended and while they described it as a way to deal with Covid, they always played Disney films on Friday afternoons. They chose movies that were scary and had my kid awake and scared at night. When I talked to them about it (a few times) they said they support the teacher's decision and essentially did not care. They did say that they do not show things that are PG-13 but "that everything is PG". I did suggest that PG means parental guidance but that did not seem to matter to them. I suggested PBS if they needed something but apparently PG is fine for 3 year old's in a Montessori environment. Until we removed him, we had to pick him up before movie time each week.

Great school! My son is constantly exceeding all the expectations of his age group and I believe a large part of that is due to the lessons taught at the school vs just play time all day. Teachers are always so nice and keep me informed on my sons daily progress.

We love UHDS. Highly recommend for quality care for your children. UHDS provides the equipment and environment to set our children up to be independent thinkers while maintaining a great learning environment.

I am on my fifth child here and I can't say enough good things about them. Thank you so much for everything you do and for understanding the parents issues when tryiong to find amazing childcare. THANK YOU UNION HILL!!
