Wee Lad and Lassie is an outstanding school! The teachers and administrative staff are not only highly professional but also exceptionally warm and supportive. My time there was truly enriching, and I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone in search of an inclusive and nurturing educational setting to consider Wee Lad and Lassie.

We've had two children attend Wee Lad & Lassie. Both greatly enjoyed it. One of my children has a nut allergy and the staff was very careful to make sure there was never an exposure. We have done both a Monday through Friday schedule and a partial week schedule. Having a flexible schedule was very important for us. The curriculum had my older child ready for kindergarten.

We first discovered Wee Lad and Lassie as a summer program for my toddler daughters while they were attending the sister school (A Child's Garden, with a younger starting age) in our town, Severna Park. All summer classes are held at Wee Lad, and our girls had wonderful experiences the past two summers. The school has a huge, fenced backyard playground, and the classes make excellent use of it, weather permitting. My older daughter now attends the pre-K during the regular school year, and has continued to take huge strides in early learning. The teachers keep the lessons fun. The staff and team work with families to offer schedules that seem to be more flexible than the other schools that I considered before choosing Wee Lad.

I'm a Wee Lad mom whose son went through the Pre-K program last year. This year, as a kindergartner, he is thriving. He is happy. He is an almost 6-year-old who runs to the bus in the morning. He has made several friends, including many in other classes. He is eager to read. He shows off his math skills to his engineer dad. He is hungry to learn more. Understandably, my husband & I are proud of what he's able to do. But it's more than that. He was prepared, both academically and socially. Yes, there were a few tears on the first day (from more than one of us), but he came home excited! He was comfortable. Why? Wee Lad & Lassie's Pre-K program. Sarah, Katie, Laurie and so many others not only taught him to ABC's and 1-2-3's, but they nurtured him, supported him, pushed him. They taught him how to be self-sufficient. They taught him how to use his words to resolve conflicts. They taught him the excitement in exploring and experimenting. They taught him that learning can be fun. Our commute to Wee Lad is 30+ minutes each way. I have no doubt there are programs nearer to us. However, I have complete faith in this program. This unique, small, and proven school is perfect for us. Our daughter will be in Wee Lad's Pre-K program next year, without question. She's a chatty young lady who wants to be just like her brother.
