The building the YMCA is in is very old and beautiful, i love the history of the building. However my family and I visited recently and used a 3day pass we were given. We mainly went so the kids could enjoy the pool - the kids pool is VERY out dated, had many areas in the pool where the lining was coming up which caused sharp edges and i kept stepping on broken pool liner pieces. The lifeguard that was there also didnt make our visit very pleasant and was very nit-picky with what the kids (ours and another family) were doing. I get that its a small shallow pool and safety first and all but i think he was a little excessive with his requests to not do this or that. My kids left saying they never wanted to come back - we did not end up going back to use our remaining 2 visits. Ultimately im glad i did not purchase a membership here, huge disappointment.

The price for value you get for membership is here is amazing. Friendly staff, positive environment, and the gym has enough machines and space to be comfortable even at the busiest I've seen it. Also the YMCA is non-profit, who wants to pay those other greedy gyms with their sales tactics BS?

Great place to workout, safe positive environment. Very great gym for kids to get active between the basketball hoops, dance studio and pool my 9 year old has gotten in very good shape this summer. The exercise machines are clean and there is a good variety they are always working and I’ve never had to wait for a machine I wanted to use. The staff is very kind, and I like that I can come workout which I do every day and just workout and not be bothered by anyone just do my workout and they don’t have some of the shady sign up stuff like some gyms do the y is affordable and have nice machines plus they do a really fun Halloween thing each year my son loves

I live so close to this ymca and I enjoy it for the most part. The crew are so kind and very welcoming! I also like all the machines provided for working out. Unfortunately coming here has spiked my germ anxiety and it’s hard for me to make myself go for fear of catching something. I see way too many people using all the machines with no sanitizing wipes.. (every machine says to wipe down before and after use, and the sanitizing wipes are provided in multiple dispensers) all I can think about is the germs my hands are picking up.. Also the elderly crowd loves to stand and watch you workout if you’re on a machine they want to use.. quite uncomfortable. I might switch gyms for peace of mind, sorry. :(

I was about to get a membership at this gym but had to change course. They used to have a sauna but have since closed it and are doing some sort of locker room remodel which includes no intention of re opening the sauna or steam room. Very disappointing.
I like this gym well enough. The rock wall and lap pool (albeit short at 20m instead of 25m) are nice features. That being said the membership prices are fairly high for what you get, and the permanent shut down of sauna/spa facilities is a complete deal breaker.
