Wilde Lake Children's Nursery

This is the best preschool ever! Amazing teachers, a wonderful environment, and the biggest playground I’ve ever seen! My son has been here since the two-year-old class all the way through the four-year-old class, and we’ve been extremely happy with our experience.

Understanding the principles and benefits of a co-op for early age learning is the first step in appreciating this gem. My 2 yo is getting amazing exposure to play-based learning, socializing and connecting with friends in a safe place that doesn't require children to be potty trained. Of course I wish the hours were longer (at least 3 hrs would be a good start), but as it stands, the co-op is economical this way coupled with parent involvement on the board and other administrative tasks. WLCN is ran efficiently and is a continuous-improvement organization. We transitioned from Running Brook (no longer open) and I was even more thrilled when I found out that Ms. Jo was joining their team. She is a national treasure and a VERY experienced childcare provider. I am looking forward to her contributions to WLCN's cirriculum - she had a very intentional program at RB that was organized and stimulating (not just all play). Overall, WLCN is a great start to exposing toddlers to school settings/culture, especially if you can support the schedule and school mission.

We had an amazing co-op experience in the 3's and 4's class with our now kindergartener. She thrived at WLCN and graduated reading, writing, and feeling so excited and confident for kindergarten. Being new to MD, we are especially grateful for the wonderful connections and friendships we've made thanks to the co-op experience. Our 2yo is now enjoying the 2's class and we are very pleased with her progress. The play based philosophy has provided the perfect mix of socializing/playing independently and structure for learning. The school is well maintained, the tuition is affordable, and the environment is welcoming.

Much like Goldilocks, we have found the cooperative preschool program that is just right! This is our first year at Wilde Lake Children’s Nursery. The staff is fantastic: creating a warm and welcoming environment for the children and parents. We are excited about the collaborative program & curriculum and look forward to many years at the school.

My daughter loves going to school at WLCN. I am able to trust the teachers and other families more than I could have hoped. The teachers communicate openly and immediately with the parents and are loving towards the children. They emphasize learning through play, observation, and natural curiosity, a style I highly value. I highly recommend WLCN.
