Willowdale Children's Academy

This daycare has been one major disappointment. I was in a situation where I had to find child care FAST. I scheduled a tour at Westtown Children's Academy-West Chester (WCA-West Chester). Upon arrival, I was able to enter through the back door of the school. I thought it was the correct entrance, but, seeing the empty stairwell, I quickly inferred it was a back entrance. I informed the director, Jackie, of this concern. She told me a staff member was taking out diapers, but the door should have been closed. On my second visit to finalize registration, I felt I should exercise due diligence and check the back door again. I was so surprised to find it able to be opened again! This was Feb. 15, 2018, the day after the Parkland, FL massacre. I again expressed my concerns about building safety. The director was surprised, but she assured me she would post signage that the door was to be closed at all times. On my third visit, the back door was propped open with a milk crate! I chose to withdraw my son before he began childcare at WCA-West Chester. I did not feel like my safety concerns were being taken seriously. This facility prides itself for being 4 Keystone Stars and abiding by the National Association for the Education for Young Children and Pennsylvania Department of Welfare; Health and Human Services standards. I did not witness these high standards of safety during my three visits. To make my opinion even worse, the owner Ms. Keller would not return my deposit after expressing all of my above concerns. The owner prioritizes her business' income over customer service. ***edited in response to owner's remarks: The facts stated by the owner are completely untrue. I chose to go public with my concerns not over money but because they were not taken seriously in a timely manner. The owner's demeanor is far from professional. It should noted that many of the positive reviews are from her and family members.

My husband and I had to move a number of times when I daughter was first born, so we have seen our share of day care facilities. Westtown Children’s Academy is by far the best place that our children have been cared for at. The atmosphere is very homey and loving, and the curriculum is first class. There is a focus on a well rounded education, and not just the standard letters and numbers. The teachers are also very kind and genuinely care for the kids. I highly recommend this school .

My family will always give Westtown Children's Academy- A Willowdale Franchise five stars! My daughter loves the school! We sent my daughter to Westtown when she was a little over one! We were so nervous having her start at a daycare. Miss Ari made us feel so welcomed and ensured us our Daughter is in good hands. Within a week our daughter learned how to walk and interact with other children! The teachers are GREAT and love there job! This school is all around awesome! Everyday my daughter learns something new. Everyone at Westtown Academy goes above and beyond for every child! Jackie the director is amazing and really cares about every child at Westtown! I totally recommend this school!

My family Absolutely gives Westtown Children's Academy- A Willowdale Franchise five stars! My son and daughter both love the school! The teachers are GREAT! Jackie, the director of the school is amazing. Her number one priority is the children. This school is all around awesome! Very organized, fun, and safe. Everyone at Westtown Academy goes above and beyond for the children and their families. My daughter will be joining the summer camp this year and we look forward to having a lot of fun. The teachers and Jackie put so much work into ALL their activities. I totally recommend this school!!!!!!!!!

I have had my son at the Westtown Children's Academy Chadds Ford location since he was 11 weeks old (it had changed hands a few years ago to Westtown). I have had an excellent experience with the Westtown management, daily directors, and all of the teachers. Most recently my son finished Kindergarten at the Chadds Ford location and I can say , without a doubt, it was unbelievable how much he learned and grew during this period. The teacher was amazing and was a great communicator about the curriculum, the behavior, the learning skills, etc. I have loved every teacher he has had throughout the years and they are excellent. I have recommended the place to several friends who have since began enrollment their as well.
