Shannon has been such an amazing blessing in our lives. My child had such a hard time transitioning to a regular school, but Shannon’s comfort and attention to my kiddo’s needs helped tremendously. She has exceeded all our expectations and her kindness and care has not gone unnoticed. My daughter was able to start transitioning to school with ease and started to become excited when we would drop off. I 100% recommend Shannon’s preschool, you will not be disappointed. We consider Shannon family and my daughter will miss her as she transitions to kindergarten, but we know she’s ready now!

Teacher Shannon was my daughter's teacher the last 12 months. She's so solid and experienced, along with having an Early Learning Degree. She bikes, gardens, does carpentry, and now has her own school -years in the making. I used to shy away from 'in-home' preschools but after visiting her new home-turned-schoolhouse... Wonder Garden would be my very top pick. She has dotted every i and crossed every t in preparing for a crew of 10 kids this fall. Lots of activities at her fingertips and she always seems relaxed and present. Lots of places err, I think, toward overly structured indoor time OR all free time without enough projects, but she strikes the right balance IMO. Shannon is going to be keyed into developmental growth, kid friendships, inclusion of parents, walking kids to an expansive nature area, sensory or other unique needs, and no shortage of well organized kid zones -garden, building materials, dramatic play, and much more. I can see Montissori and Waldorf elements in her approach. Shannon is flexible and easy to talk to. I know I sound like I'm selling it, but that's because I've been very impressed by Shannon all year. Your kiddo will love it there and remember Wonder Garden the rest of their life.

Shannon has so much experience working with preschool aged children. She knows them like no other and respects them no matter where they are on their journey. My daughter loved her time with Shannon and is 8 now. She still talks about her time with her! Shannon has so much passion and patience with little ones!

Choosing a preschool is a huge decision! It acknowledges a family's needs are growing and requires courage to step into a new unknown space. At the end of all your research, open house visits, and waitlists it can still be unclear which direction to take or if the choice you’ve made is right. To ease your head and heart, as you navigate this monumental decision, I'll share a few things my family learned from working with and trusting Shannon to care for our preschooler. Your child will always be welcomed with warmth and kindness. Their specific needs and comforts will be acknowledged and incorporated throughout the day. Your child will be celebrated in their individuality and encouraged to share stories, traditions, and dreams that matter to them. This was a big one for us! My child still talks about the stories he shared at preschool. There will be plenty of outdoor time (rain or shine!) with grand encouragement to explore natural elements fully! Pro Tip- send extra clothes! Your child will build skills while exploring the enriching environment Shannon has carefully curated to inspire kindness, curiosity, and community. In Shannon’s care my child grew their abilities, their confidence, and had a blast! As a parent, I grew too! I had no idea that Shannon’s allyship would help me keep routines consistent, grow my knowledge and understanding of age appropriate behaviors, and hone my skills in navigating big emotions. Shannon is an unrivaled professional in her field. She's worked in diverse settings and has the experience from all her years of training and teaching to handle it all. She is a great communicator; updating me on how my child’s day went including any challenges that arose. When I had opportunities to work in the classroom, I was simply amazed at Shannon’s ability to weave love, creativity, and inspiration amongst groups of small humans with such ease. Wonder Garden Neighborhood Preschool is not a place to drop your kids each day. It’s a warm comfy blanket, a pirate ship adventure, a messy art project, a mud kitchen, a friendly face, a growing acorn collection, and more.
