Wood Violet Montessori

Our granddaughter attends Wood Violet and our experience has been above expectations. We find the owners to be thoughtful, patient, and attentive to the needs of the students. They go above and beyond and if you are thinking of sending your child or grandchild to a Montessori please consider Wood Violet, you will be happy you did!

Our daughter was always a bit hesitant to attend her previous school/daycare and did not speak much despite being so talkative at home. Since starting at Wood Violet, our little one skips to the door each morning and comes home with stories of very exciting work. I see the teachers facilitate individual learning experiences for her. Our daughter says it best, “Ms. Colleen and Ms. Mary are very special.” We agree with her. We appreciate everything the school does for our family.

We could not be happier with our experience with Wood Violet Montessori. Our daughter has flourished since attending. She comes home every day excited to discuss what she has learned at school. Mary & Colleen are the most amazing teachers and tailor learning to each individual child based on their age and needs. We 100% recommend Wood Violet to our friends and family!

I cannot even imagine Sophia's school life without Colleen and Mary. So many emotions as this is her last year there. She started at 2.5yo and at 6 now she still loves school, her mates and her teachers. She's challenged by her work, she learns vital life skills and there are no better humans than Mary and Colleen to enforce positive social skills that will benefit her for life, such as kindness and boundaries. I could go on and on forever. I have an education background as well, and this school is first class. Get on the waiting list now if you are pregnant! You are welcome! :)

I truly don’t have words to express how incredible our experience has been at Wood Violet Montessori. Ms. Mary and Ms. Colleen are two of the most caring, nurturing, and capable educators I have had the pleasure of knowing, and the positive impact they have had on my son is something my wife and I continually marvel at. Our little guy had struggled quite significantly at another local preschool, but when we made the switch to Wood Violet, it was like the clouds had parted and he has flourished (and I mean *FLOURISHED*) since we made the move. My only regret is that we didn’t move sooner. The school itself is thoughtfully and beautifully arranged. All of the classic Montessori tools are available in addition to all the “extras” that Colleen and Mary bring to the table (special art topics, dance lessons, meditation, gardening, classroom pets, and the list goes on). Having a minimum age of 2.5, while somewhat challenging for those of use with younger kids, results in a truly peaceful ambiance where young minds can develop freely. I simply cannot recommend this place highly enough.
