YMCA of Greater Flint

This is the new YMCA gym in Flint, and it's impressive. Although they haven't finished updating everything yet, the place is incredibly spacious, modern, and equipped with the latest training machines. They also have several designated areas for different activities, which allows for a wide range of options to stay active. While they're still working on the pool and sauna area, what they've done in the gym is really excellent. The investment in infrastructure and technology is notable, and it's clear they're committed to providing a high-quality space for their members. However, I think they could do a better job with their social media, sharing more information, images, and updates to keep their followers informed and engaged. It would be great to see more content about their activities and events, as well as member and staff testimonials.

Just joined. The facility is beautiful. The staff is friendly. Always say hi. The classes have all been very welcoming and challenging and well done. Once childcare and pool are added it’s a steal for the price. The equipment is really nice they have everything machines or free weights for however you want to workout. Really happy with our membership

I've been going to this Y my whole life. The new building was much needed, but it seems like the building was the only thing that got truly updated. Compared to our old facility this facility has by far alot less workout machines. There are only maybe 12 machines altogether. There are no ab machines, no calf machines, no butterfly. Don't get me wrong it's super nice but if you really want a good workout go to Pierson rd. Kinda sad that our older facility is better than our brand new building. Hopefully this changes.

It's a New building didn't go end the outside looks great plus Hurley have a spot on the side for ne to work out due to different surgeries. And medical issues.

I have been going to The YMCA here in Downtown Flint for a while now and the facility is kept pretty clean and maintained quite well for the age of the building. On the other hand while using the sauna and whirlpool I can hear the continuous sound of the basketball court above. Rules are not being enforced in the locker room areas. Common violations consist of cell phone use, loud disruptive talking, and not using proper clothing or gym attire! These violations have a negative effect on all the people's well being that come to the YMCA!
