My son has been attending YSA for more than four years and we are very impressed with the teachers and admin staff there. My son has many different kinds of allergies and they accommodated his needs and have been very patient. He loves every one of his teachers there and enjoys the classes. The admin is very responsive and answers questions quickly. Highly recommended!

Our family (my wife, myself, and our two children) recently toured Young Scholars Academy, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. Our tour was scheduled for 9:00 AM, and we arrived right on time with a couple of minutes to spare. Upon arrival, we were asked to wait in a small, cramped room until the tour could begin. While waiting is understandable, we ended up sitting there for 19 minutes with no communication or updates from the staff.
During our wait, I stepped out and overheard the assistant director and several staff members engaged in gossip or complaints. When they noticed me, I was told they would be with us shortly, but the interaction felt dismissive. One staff member even gave me a dirty look, as if I was interrupting their conversation.
The tour itself was average and did not stand out in any particular way. Ultimately, we decided not to return—not because of price, availability, or facilities, but because of how the staff treated us as prospective parents and guests. Respectful and welcoming staff are essential for any preschool or daycare, and our experience did not reflect that standard.
I would encourage Young Scholars Academy to focus on improving their staff’s professionalism and hospitality toward visiting families.

YSA is our favorite early childhood learning center! Our daughter started going just before she turned 2, and is now a little over 3 and loves being there so much that at pick up she often wants to stay. All the teachers and admin as wonderful and really care about the children. We love how health conscious they are with dye free foods and balanced meals, and we love how much academic material they introduce and teach the children. My daughter loves to sing her colors song, which is in English and Spanish as well as doing ASL while singing!! It’s a wonderful place for the kids and makes you feel comfortable and confident having your child under their care.

It has been an honor to be a part of the Young Scholars Academy family since 2012. Our oldest son graduated preschool in 2015 fully prepared for kindergarten. Fast forward 10 years and now our youngest is getting ready to finish his time there as well, also ready to tackle kindergarten with the same solid learning skills. The teachers are incredibly kind, caring, and knowledgeable. The experience of the directors and teachers here truly shows. Kids don’t just play here, they grow, learn, and thrive. We’re so thankful for the strong foundation both our kids received at YSA!

As a single parent of 2, without the village locally, this place has been a God send. My children are school age and attend for before and after care (YSA buses to and from elementary school) to get me to work on time and so they have care as I finish the day. Unlike previous institutions we've attended, this place is always open. With hours of 6am - 6pm, it's perfect should I have an early start or late finish and provides us comfort knowing they're cared for. Should the children have no school on a weekday while I have work, this place is open. Should it snow and the school district calls off school, this place is open. They don't follow district closures, as our previous place did, allowing the children to attend for a full day's care, with meals provided. In the last few years, I've only seen them close a couple times due to weather; and to be honest, the whole city was pretty much shut down and the majority weren't working so the impact was minimal to none. The staff has always been personable and friendly with both me and the kids. The kids enjoy the food, activities, learning, and outdoor time. The staff will include the kids in helping with staffing functions to teach them different skills, work ethic, and provide a greater sense of responsibility that they enjoy and find valuable. YSA is reliable; and as someone without a huge network while raising youth on my own, YSA provides us the peace and security to focus on the responsibilities of everyday life.
