Your Montessori School

Your Montessori School is an absolute gem in the Asheville community. Amy's intentionality and devotion to her school and her students is so evident and our family has loved every minute of our time involved with YMS. She and her team helped our daughter through the rough time of transitioning into school from being at home with such care and patience; it brings tears to my eyes just thinking of how much our baby girl grew in her confidence and independence through her time at YMS. Thank you, Amy! We love you.

Both my daughters have attended Your Montessori School, the younger is there now. We absolutely love the engaging and nurturing care Amy and her crew provide. The outdoor space is green and full of fun to explore. At YMS kids are allowed to play in the dirt and mud and really enjoy themselves! Inside, the space is really wonderful. What was once a home has been converted into a safe and stimulating educational environment. Kids learn how to care for their school and each other by cooking and cleaning and playing, side by side with their peers. The entire school is thoughtfully prepared to encourage student participation. At the end of the day, we trust that Amy and all the staff will treat our kids with respect and kindness as well as curiosity. We know they’re not just being watched over, but truly having new experiences and learning. 10/10 recommend!

My son has been at YMS since he was 18 months old, and now he is about to graduate and go to kindergarten! This has been a wonderful place for him to learn and grow. Amy Morgan, who runs the school, truly loves and believes the best about every child. She is also highly educated in child development and the Montessori method. There's a perfect balance between it being a home-like environment and also a high quality education for the littlest learners. The adults and children at this school have become part of our family, especially for our son. We're so grateful for Amy and Your Montessori School!!

I’m so thankful for YMS. My son is learning amazing skills, making great friends, and excited every morning to go to school. They get so much outside time, playing in the rain and mud is encouraged, always baking or making something fun to eat, it’s really just a great space. Excited for my almost 3 year old to start in a few months. Thanks Amy for providing such a safe, wonderful place for the kids. And for being sincerely invested in their lives.

My son has attended YMS since he was 1.5, and it will be a bittersweet goodbye as he enters kindergarten in a few short months. The school has offered such a nurturing environment, with room for social, academic, and emotional growth. Excellent teachers and a wonderful community of families make YMS truly special. The director, Amy Morgan is caring, trustworthy, and extremely knowledgeable in Montessori principles, as well as early childhood development and psychology. We love YMS!
