Wonderful people helping people in need. And I've actually found people who've been in my life more than I can imagine!

The experience was absolutely good with courtesy and willingness help of my purpose being there. I had asked for help in doing paperwork for being a client for the Adult Day Program. That indeed is what happened and a tour through the facility. I am glad that I didn't cancel the appointment.

The YWCA Bethlehem Adult Day Services is a hidden gem! Tucked away off of Rt 512, it is a warm and caring place where our seniors are engaged and embraced by a wonderful staff under the leadership of Yvonne Toth. My mom had recently been diagnosed with dementia and even though I work from home to be with her, I worried that she was spending too much time in the barcalounger, watching television judge shows and that her life was shrinking in terms of variety. I was feeling overwhelmed with the increasing amount of supervision that she needed in addition to the demands of my job. I contacted the Department of Aging and found out about adult daycare and went to check out the YWCA as an option. It was like finding the answer to a prayer! The staff are all lovely and caring, there is a nurse onsite, the elders are engaged with a daily variety of group interactions, reading the news, arts and crafts and games. Their lives are enriched by a rotation of visitors like local school groups, gracious entertainers who get them singing and dancing, furry therapy dogs and even a recent visit from the Bethlehem Mounted Police!! I want to spend MY days at the YWCA. I cant say enough about the quality of the program there and my Mom is all the better for participating. Oh, and there is even a monthly Caregiver Support Group that is a safe space to share your challenges with others in the same position. If you are just thinking about the YWCA, get up, get in your car and go check it out - you wont be disappointed!
